Privacy Policy

Pedemy (pedemy.com) is a free educational website for pediatric residents and students. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we never show ads. This page explains what we keep and why.

What we collect

• Your email address: to create your account, confirm it's yours, reset your password, and (if you leave it on) tell you when a deck you follow has a new version.
• Your password: stored only as a secure one-way hash. We can't see it.
• Your subscriptions: which decks and subjects you follow, so we can send you their updates.
• Suggestions you send: the card text and comment, shown to the deck's author.
• Basic server logs: your IP address, the page you opened, and the time. Used only to keep the site running and secure, and deleted automatically after 30 days.

What we don't collect

Website study saves your current card position in this browser's local storage. It is not sent to your account or synchronized with Anki. Clearing this site's browser data removes that saved position. Tool checkmarks last only for the current page session.

• Your Anki review history, study times, or grades never leave your device. The add-on only downloads cards and, when you choose to, sends a suggested fix.
• No advertising or tracking cookies. We use one cookie only to keep you logged in.

Who helps us run Pedemy

We share data only with the services needed to run the site:

• DigitalOcean: hosts the website and database (servers in London, UK).
• Cloudflare: manages our domain name.
• Brevo: sends our emails (confirmations, password resets, update notices).
• Zoho Mail: receives messages you send to contact@pedemy.com.
• Stripe: processes payment only if you buy a paid deck. We never see your card number.

Your choices

• Stop update emails any time on your account page.
• Delete your account on your account page. This removes your email, password, subscriptions, and suggestions from our database right away. Backups are overwritten within 14 days.
• Ask us anything or request a copy of your data: contact@pedemy.com.

Children

Pedemy is made for medical trainees and professionals, not for children. Please don't create an account if you are under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Big changes will be announced by email.
